Week 6 brings us to new crossroads at the Big Tourney. Yes, salaries have been adjusted this week, so you will no longer find Kurt Warner at $504,000 or DeSean Jackson lighting it up for $500,000. The tourney just got much tougher and only the best will be able to find those basement bargains. Playing matchups will be even more important as we get further into the season as well as using your budget wisely. Before I get into a few suggested players for Week 6, I want to encourage all of you to read over the rules at Big Tourney U to get more specifics on the game if you don’t know them already.

Suggested Players for Week 6:

QB – As I mentioned already, Kurt Warner shot up to $975,000 this week so let’s leave him alone this week. Jason Campbell is at home this week against the same ole sorry Rams. Campbell is sporting a $747,500 salary that should help you advance in your tournament. The Redskins are playing really good football and the light has come on for Mr. Campbell.

RB – I can’t believe that I am changing my tune on a Giants running back, but I will recommend Brandon Jacobs this week as he takes on Cleveland on Monday Night Football. Jacobs is only $885,000, which is relatively cheap for a guy that is running like a beast and racking up TDs, like Sarah Palin is youtube videos. Go with Jacobs to shine on MNF.

WR – The Jets are coming off a bye week and they get the lowly Bengals this week, so I’m going to recommend both Laveranues Coles at $705,000 and Jerricho Cotchery at $727,500. I don’t usually recommend players from the same team, but these guys should make the New York faithful happy on Sunday and they need it after the disappointing performance of the NY Mets.

TE – Last week I recommended you spend money on Jason Witten and it scored for you. Glad I could help and hopefully we can pick another winner this week. Zach Miller is my recommendation this week as the Raiders travel to New Orleans minus Lane Kiffin. Miller seems to be improving each week and his salary of only $584,000 makes him a bargain with the new salary adjustments.

That is all of the recommendations for this week. If you have questions on how to play the game or just want general info on www.TheBigTourney.com, please email me at rbrooks@fantasyplanet.com.

Good Luck in Week 6.
